Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has given an update on her ongoing dispute with the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, saying that discussions aimed at resolving the matter are currently taking place. Her comments come days after her arrest by the Lagos State Police Command over allegations linked to the controversy.

The actress, who was arrested on Saturday, regained her freedom on Monday afternoon after spending two nights in police custody. The arrest followed public claims she made against Pastor Okafor, whom she accused of failing to fulfil an alleged promise to marry her. The issue has since drawn widespread attention on social media and in the entertainment and religious circles.

Speaking in a video shared online, Ogala said she is still in Lagos as talks continue behind closed doors. According to her, the discussions are meant to reach a peaceful resolution, although she did not give full details of what is being discussed or who is involved in the talks.

“Talks are going on now, resolution is ongoing at the moment,” she said. “I’m still in Lagos, I’m not back in Abuja. I want to know where it’s heading, and I want to know the end of this table talk.”

Ogala explained that she wants clarity on how the matter will end before taking her next steps. She added that once the talks are concluded, she plans to seek spiritual guidance on what to do next.

“I will come back, and I will seek God’s face. I will ask God the next direction, what should I do because at the moment, I don’t know what to do,” she said.

The actress also suggested that she has more information about the situation that she has not yet made public. However, she said she is being careful because she does not want the matter to escalate further or lead to serious consequences.

“I have a lot to say, I have a lot I want to reveal, I have a lot I want the world to learn from this,” Ogala said. “At the same time, I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hand. This is still bad than anyone thinks.”

According to her, the statements she made online before her arrest were only a small part of what she intended to say. She claimed that she was preparing to reveal more details before the police action stopped her.

“I haven’t said anything. What I just said online is nothing to what I’m about to say before my arrest,” she added.

Ogala stressed that she is not afraid of anyone and is ready to face any outcome, including imprisonment, if it comes to that. However, she said her main goal is to speak her truth and let God guide her actions.

“I’m not afraid of anyone, I’m not afraid of going to jail. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak,” she said.

The controversy began after Ogala publicly accused Pastor Okafor of making promises to marry her, which she claimed were not kept. She also reportedly demanded compensation from the clergyman, a move that further fueled public interest in the matter. The pastor, who leads Grace Nation Bible Ministry, is a well-known religious figure with a large following, especially in Lagos and other parts of the country.

The arrest of Ogala by the police added another layer to the issue. While details of the police complaint have not been fully disclosed, reports indicate that the arrest was linked to allegations of defamation and other related claims arising from her public statements.

Sources close to the matter said Ogala was released after interventions and appeals for a peaceful settlement. She also claimed that during her time in custody, Pastor Okafor pleaded for a calm resolution of the dispute.
