In an emotional outpouring on social media, Jossy Happiness Yohanna, the wife of Captain Ibrahim Yibranii Yohanna, has expressed her profound grief following the tragic death of her husband.

The young couple, who had only recently begun their life together, were torn apart when Captain Yohanna, alongside three of his comrades, was killed in an ambush by terrorists in Sokoto State.

The news of his death has cast a shadow over the lives of those who knew him, especially his wife, Jossy, who changed her Facebook cover photo to a picture of him, accompanied by a heart-wrenching message: “Sweetie, you left without saying a word. Please, I wish I am dreaming.”

The couple had exchanged vows on November 4, 2023, a day filled with love and hope for a future together. But their dreams were shattered on Saturday, August 10, 2024, when Captain Yohanna and three other soldiers were ambushed while on patrol along the Kukurau-Bangi Road in Gudu Local Government Area, Sokoto State.

The attack not only claimed their lives but also left two other soldiers injured and destroyed two operational military vehicles, which were set ablaze by the terrorists.
