    A tragic incident in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State has sparked outrage and calls for justice after a young man, Ahmed Ibrahim, was reportedly fatally shot by a police officer during a dispute over money.

    The victim’s brother, Mallam Jabir, took to social media to express his grief and demand accountability.

    In a moving post, he described Ahmed as a diligent and respectful individual who was dedicated to improving his life through hard work.

    “This is Ahmed Ibrahim, he’s my blood brother. He was killed by a police officer yesterday in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State as a result of little disagreement (money related issues),” Mallam Jabir tweeted, accompanied by emotive crying emojis.

    The incident has drawn widespread condemnation and calls for justice across social media platforms with some of the posters tagging the police, @PoliceNG, human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore @YeleSowore,  and others.

    “This is Ahmed Ibrahim, the blood brother of @Mallam_jabeer. Mallam Jabeer is a strong supporter of the Obidient movement, fighting against oppression and for a better Nigeria that gives hope,” Omotayo Williams tweeted, lamenting the tragic loss.

    “We cannot allow this to be swept under the carpet,” the tweet urged, urging massive retweets to amplify the demand for justice.

    Authorities, including the Nigerian Police Force and other government agencies, have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

    The posters have created a hashtag #JusticeForAhmedIbrahim to call attention to the incident and demand justice.

    The police have yet to issue an official response to the growing public outcry.
