Michael Wiseman, a Florida resident, has been charged with making threats to kill former President Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance, according to a statement from the Jupiter Police Department (JPD).

The arrest follows an investigation into Wiseman’s social media activity, which allegedly contained multiple threats directed at Trump, Vance, and their families.

The JPD’s statement revealed that detectives uncovered threatening messages on Wiseman’s Facebook account, which included threats of violence against the newly nominated Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates.

The investigation also identified threats of bodily harm to members of the Trump and Vance families.

This development comes on the heels of an assassination attempt on Trump, which occurred less than a week ago. The former president was targeted by a gunman at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, raising concerns about his safety and the security of his campaign events.
