The National Examinations Council (NECO), on Thursday, officially released the results of the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
This announcement was made on Thursday by NECO’s Registrar, Professor Dantani Wushishi, at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
A total of over 1.3 million students sat for the 2024 SSCE. The exams took place from Wednesday, 19th June, to Friday, 26th July, across various centers in Nigeria.
As students move forward, the most important task is checking their NECO results.

NECO has provided a convenient way for candidates to access their results online.
Candidates are advised to follow a few simple steps to check their results on the NECO Result Portal.
First, students should visit www.neco.gov.ng, the official NECO portal.
Once on the portal, they must select the year of their examination, which is 2024.
Next, they should choose the examination type, specifically SSCE INTERNAL (JUN/JUL).
Candidates must then enter their Token Number and Registration Number in the designated fields.
These details are crucial for accessing individual results.
After entering the required information, candidates should click on the “Check Result” button.
Upon completion, the results will be displayed on the screen.
It is important to note that a NECO Token is required to access the results online.
Without this token, candidates will not be able to view their scores.
Students can purchase the token from the NECO website or accredited vendors.
In addition to the online method, NECO results can also be checked via SMS.
This offers a convenient alternative for candidates with limited internet access.
Professor Wushishi encouraged students and parents to use the official portal and follow the steps correctly.
