Nigerians Are Tired, Will Change This Government in 2027 – Kwankwaso

    Share

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, has predicted a wave of change in Nigeria’s political landscape in 2027. He said Nigerians, especially those in the north, are fed up with the current government and will demand a change.

Kwankwaso made this statement while welcoming a large group of defectors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NNPP at his residence in Kano.

Nigerians Will Demand Change in 2027

While addressing the crowd at his Miller Road home in Kano, Kwankwaso expressed confidence that Nigerians will push for a new government in the 2027 elections. He said the people have suffered enough under the current APC-led government, and their desire for change is stronger than ever.

“Nigerians, particularly northerners, have endured too much hardship under this government,” Kwankwaso said. “No amount of pressure, intimidation, or fear tactics will prevent them from voting for change in 2027.”

APC Has Failed the Poor, Says Kwankwaso

Kwankwaso was critical of the APC government, accusing it of failing to protect the interests of the poor and exacerbating the suffering of the masses.

He stated that when the APC was created, it was supposed to provide relief for Nigerians, especially the poor. However, the reality has been far different. According to him, insecurity and poverty have worsened under the APC administration, leaving millions of Nigerians in despair.

“The APC, which we created to rescue the poor, has turned into a vicious cycle of poverty and insecurity,” Kwankwaso lamented. “This is no longer acceptable to Nigerians.”

He emphasized that the APC’s policies have failed to address the urgent needs of the population, leaving the country in a state of crisis. Insecurity, in particular, has reached alarming levels, with banditry, kidnappings, and violent attacks becoming daily occurrences.

Decampees From APC Flock to NNPP

Kwankwaso’s comments came as he received a large number of defectors from the APC, including members from Dala, Kiru, and Gwale local government areas in Kano State. The defections represent a significant blow to the APC’s political structure in Kano, a state considered one of its strongholds.

Kwankwaso proudly announced that over 1,000 people had decamped from 12 wards in Dala Local Government, essentially collapsing the APC structure in that area into the NNPP.

“This is a historic day,” Kwankwaso declared. “The entire APC structure in Dala has now joined the NNPP, and this shows that Nigerians are ready for change.”

He continued, “Dala is an area that historically belongs to us, and we are happy to welcome all the decampees into the NNPP family.”

The defections from Gwale and Kiru local governments followed a similar pattern, with many citing dissatisfaction with the APC’s governance as their reason for leaving. They praised the policies of the NNPP, particularly its focus on improving the welfare of ordinary citizens.

Kwankwaso Warns Against Rigging in 2027

Kwankwaso also issued a stern warning to those in power, suggesting that any attempts to manipulate the 2027 elections would be met with resistance from the people.

According to him, the ruling party might believe that they can rely on security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to stay in power. However, Kwankwaso insisted that such efforts would be futile, as Nigerians are determined to change the government.

“When the storms of change blow in 2027, those who think they can manipulate the system using security forces and INEC will find themselves running for cover,” he warned. “Nigerians will make the right choice and elect leaders who care about their welfare.”

Kwankwaso expressed confidence that the upcoming elections will be a turning point for the country. He believes that the Nigerian people are tired of the status quo and will vote for leaders who will address their concerns about poverty, security, and governance.

Northern Nigeria Must Rethink Its Political Strategy

Kwankwaso also called on northern Nigerians to reconsider their political affiliations and the direction of their region. He suggested that the APC government has failed to deliver on its promises, particularly in the north, where many communities continue to suffer from extreme poverty and insecurity.

“The north has suffered the most under this government,” Kwankwaso said. “It is time for the region to rethink its political strategy and support leaders who will prioritize their needs.”

Kwankwaso’s remarks resonate with a growing sentiment in northern Nigeria, where many people feel neglected by the central government. The region has been plagued by violence from bandit groups and insurgent forces, leaving many communities in a state of constant fear.

    Kwankwaso’s Political Influence in Kano

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, remains a key political figure in the north and continues to enjoy widespread support in Kano. His Kwankwasiyya movement, known for its red caps and grassroots mobilization, has become a significant force in Nigerian politics.

His political influence is evident in the recent defections from the APC to the NNPP, which have dealt a blow to the ruling party’s presence in Kano. As Kwankwaso continues to rally support, many political observers believe that the NNPP could emerge as a formidable opponent in the 2027 elections.

Kwankwaso concluded his speech by reiterating that Nigerians are fed up with the current government and are ready for a change.

“It is clear that Nigerians are tired,” Kwankwaso stated. “They are tired of insecurity, tired of poverty, and tired of broken promises. And in 2027, they will act.”
