Nigerian actress and popular internet sensation, Ramota Adetu, better known as Aunty Ramota, has come forward with heartbreaking claims of betrayal and financial hardship.

In a video that has since gone viral, Aunty Ramota revealed she is now homeless and financially stranded.

“I am currently stranded without accommodation,” she said.

According to the actress, she recently lost her place to stay after the woman she was living with got married and asked her to leave.

Aunty Ramota explained that her friend’s husband was not comfortable with her living with them, leading to her sudden need for a new home.

This situation, however, was only the beginning of her woes.

Aunty Ramota, known for her comedy roles in Yoruba films, disclosed that her hopes of securing a home were dashed due to halted construction on her house.

She had been building a house with the help of a kind individual, but that support was cut short.

“The man who was helping me build my house stopped because of personal issues,” she said, explaining her stalled plans for stable accommodation.

Aunty Ramota then revealed an even more shocking situation involving her former management.

The actress accused her management team of taking advantage of her earnings, allegedly mismanaging funds she worked hard to make.

She claimed that they mishandled her finances and even deleted her social media accounts, depriving her of essential revenue streams.

“They kept cheating me because they thought I wouldn’t know how much we were really making,” she said in frustration.

Social media has been a critical platform for Aunty Ramota’s career, helping her connect with fans and earn money through content.

But with her accounts erased, her reach and income have been severely limited.

In an emotional statement, she said, “To make things worse, my management stole all the money I had. They even deleted my TikTok and every other social media account.”

Her words reveal not only financial struggles but the feeling of betrayal by those she trusted.

Aunty Ramota explained how she had worked tirelessly to earn a living, believing her management would handle her finances responsibly.

But she alleges that they took advantage of her hard work, leaving her with little money to meet her basic needs.

“I worked so hard, but they kept cheating me. Now, I don’t even have enough to rent a place,” she shared.

Her story has sparked concern and empathy across social media, with fans expressing shock and offering messages of support.

Known for her distinctive voice and comedic talent, Aunty Ramota has gained significant popularity within the Yoruba movie industry.

She recently starred in Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, a film directed by acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan.

In her video, she expressed her determination to move into her own home rather than rely on temporary housing solutions.

She said someone had kindly offered to rent a place for her, but she declined, choosing instead to focus on completing her home, even if it’s just a single room.

Her hope, she said, is to have a place she can call her own, away from the instability she currently faces.

“I want to finish building my house, even if it’s just one room, so I can finally have a place to call my own,” she said.
