In a move that has stunned many, Russia has slapped Google with a fine exceeding two undecillion rubles, equivalent to about $2.5 decillion.
This astronomical figure results from the company’s decision to block several state-run and pro-government accounts on its platform, YouTube.
The fine is so enormous that it surpasses the world’s total gross domestic product (GDP), estimated at approximately $110 trillion by the International Monetary Fund.
For context, an undecillion is a number followed by 36 zeros or one trillion times a trillion times a trillion.
