A few weeks after stepping down from his role at the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Abioye is ready to start a new chapter.

The revered cleric is launching a ministry of his own, kicking off with a grand crusade.

Bishop Abioye announced a two-day revival programme called ‘Hour of Revival’ on Thursday.

The event, themed ‘Revive Us Again’, will be held at the National Stadium Velodrome in Abuja on November 23 and 30, 2023.

Speaking about the programme, Bishop Abioye described it as a call to restore spiritual fire and commitment among believers.

“This is a time for revival,” he declared.

He also assured that his transition to a new ministry would not sever his ties with the Living Faith family.

“I will always remain connected to Bishop Oyedepo and the family,” he said in a recent documentary on his YouTube channel.

Bishop Abioye served for decades as a right-hand man to Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Winners Chapel.

The two first connected in 1979, with Bishop Abioye becoming one of the most prominent figures in the ministry.

At a valedictory service held in his honour at Goshen Camp in Nasarawa State, Bishop Abioye expressed gratitude for his time under Bishop Oyedepo’s leadership.

“I have no regrets,” he said during the event, which was attended by thousands of worshippers.

He thanked Bishop Oyedepo for being a mentor and leader throughout his journey in ministry.

Bishop Abioye’s decision to step aside has been met with support from the Living Faith community.

However, it is clear he is not retiring from ministry entirely.
