    FG Announces Revised Dates for Civil Servants’ 2024 Promotion Exam

    The Nigerian government has announced revised dates for the 2024 promotion exam for civil servants, following earlier delays in the process.

    The announcement was made by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), led by Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack.

    In a statement, Mrs. Walson-Jack explained that the exam was postponed due to logistical issues.

    She emphasized that the rescheduled dates would allow eligible civil servants to demonstrate their qualifications for career advancement.

    The revised schedule sets the accreditation period for the promotion exam to take place from Monday, December 2, to Thursday, December 5, 2024.

    This will be followed by the promotion examination on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

    The exams will be held across six designated centres nationwide, making it more accessible for civil servants from various regions.

    Mrs. Walson-Jack stressed the importance of the promotion process for the professional growth of civil servants.

    She highlighted that the promotion exams provide an opportunity for officers on Salary Grade Levels 06-13 to progress in their careers.

    “The promotion process is a vital part of fostering the growth and development of our civil service,” she said.

    Mrs. Walson-Jack urged all eligible candidates to attend the accreditation sessions and sit for the exam to ensure they do not miss out on career advancement opportunities.
