    Birniwa: Popular Kannywood Singer Dies While Playing Football

    The Kannywood entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden death of renowned Hausa singer, El-Mu’az Muhammad Birniwa.

    The news of his death was confirmed on Thursday by Abba El-Mustapha, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, in a Facebook post.

    El-Mu’az collapsed on Wednesday while playing a friendly football match in Kaduna.

    The match had been organized by friends to celebrate the wedding of fellow singer, Auta Waziri.

    Sources said El-Mu’az had arrived at the match in good health and appeared to be enjoying himself.

    However, tragedy struck when the popular singer suddenly slumped during the game.

    He was immediately rushed to the hospital but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

    The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment community and beyond.

    “He was a very lively person, full of life and energy. It’s hard to believe he’s gone,” a close friend of the late singer shared with grief.

    On Thursday afternoon, the funeral prayer was held at 1:00 pm at the Zangon Daura mosque in Kaduna.

    El-Mu’az was laid to rest in the city, with many of his fans and colleagues attending the solemn ceremony to pay their final respects.
