Holy Ghost Congress Will Be Memorable – Adeboye

The 27th Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has kicked off with a powerful opening night of praise, worship, and spiritual renewal.

Held at the Redemption Camp, this year’s congress, themed Onward Christian Soldiers, attracted thousands of worshippers, all eager to experience divine blessings.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the RCCG, delivered an inspiring message during the opening session, describing praise as a potent spiritual weapon.

“Praise is a weapon of warfare,” Pastor Adeboye declared. “When you praise God for what He has done, He will do more. Without gratitude, future battles may not see divine intervention. Life is warfare—the winner takes it all, while the loser loses it all.”

The event began with electrifying worship led by the RCCG All Stars and the church’s 2,000-member mass choir. Attendees danced and sang, expressing gratitude for past victories and faith in God’s promises.

The atmosphere was one of jubilation and expectation as Pastor Adeboye assured worshippers of a Congress like no other.

“This Congress is different,” he said. “The theme, Onward Christian Soldiers, is both a call and a charge. It reminds us of our roles as soldiers of Christ, ready to march forward with Him leading the way.”

Reflecting on the challenges of the year, Pastor Adeboye expressed gratitude for God’s preservation and urged participants to stay focused on the spiritual agenda of the event.

“Pay attention to every message. Pray like never before. The Lord has promised a Congress that will propel us forward spiritually, physically, emotionally, and materially. Are you ready to play your part?”

The Congress, which began in 1998 with Lekki 98, has grown into a global spiritual phenomenon. That historic gathering of over seven million worshippers at Lekki Beach was marked by extraordinary miracles, setting the tone for the annual event.

Since moving to the Redemption Camp, the Holy Ghost Congress has evolved into a week-long celebration of faith, renewal, and divine intervention.

This year’s theme, Onward Christian Soldiers, serves as a rallying cry for believers to embrace their spiritual assignments with renewed vigor.

Pastor Adeboye explained that the Congress is a time to build foundations for lasting victories through praise.

“If you praise God continually, He will arise for you,” he said. “Satan, who has defeated many mighty men and women over centuries, will flee when he sees God backing you. Tonight, as we praise, the foundation for your victory in life is being laid.”

Worshippers at the Congress were urged to commit themselves fully to the sessions and to avoid distractions. Pastor Adeboye emphasized that each message and prayer session was crucial for spiritual upliftment.
