In his acceptance speech, the Governor credited President Tinubu’s policies for their role in freeing up crucial resources for sub-national governments. This has allowed state administrations like his in Ekiti to pursue their developmental objectives and deliver key benefits to their citizens. Governor Oyebanji emphasized that such reforms have been essential in ensuring the equitable distribution of resources, which is critical for the growth of states and their people.
“The policies of President Tinubu have created an enabling environment for us in Ekiti and other states to unlock the resources we need to move forward. They’ve empowered sub-national governments to be more effective in delivering on their promises to the people,” said Oyebanji.
While expressing deep gratitude to the Silverbird Group for nominating him and to the Nigerian public for voting for him, Governor Oyebanji acknowledged that the award represents both an honor and a responsibility. He promised to continue his efforts to transform Ekiti State and improve the welfare of its citizens.
“This award is dedicated to God Almighty and also to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his transformative policies that have helped us in Ekiti State,” Governor Oyebanji said. “It is a challenge for me to do more in terms of delivering quality leadership and impactful policies.
