In his Easter message, delivered from France where he is observing a two-week working vacation, President Tinubu acknowledged the recent security challenges in Plateau and Benue states but highlighted that his administration’s resolve remains unshaken.
The President’s message, personally signed and released on Friday, April 18, 2025, coincided with the global celebration of Easter, commemorating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In his statement, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the recent loss of lives in parts of Nigeria, noting that such incidents have caused pain and fear among citizens. He reassured the public that his administration is steadfast in its efforts to restore peace and security across the nation.
“Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable,” President Tinubu stated. “Forces of evil will never prevail over our country. I have given clear directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to end insecurity decisively and without delay. With the unwavering courage and commitment of our gallant men and women in uniform, we are turning the tide and making steady progress in reclaiming peace and stability.”
The President also addressed the nation’s economic challenges, acknowledging the hardships faced by many Nigerians.
