Eight men have been arrested by counter-terrorism police in the UK in two separate operations, following ongoing investigations into terror-related activities. In the second operation, three other men, all Iranian nationals, were arrested in London on Saturday. These arrests were made as part of a separate counter-terrorism investigation. Police clarified that the two operations were not linked, and the motives behind this new investigation remain unclear.
The men, aged 39, 44, and 55, were detained under the National Security Act at three different addresses in northwest and west London. Searches are ongoing in connection with this case, though further details on the investigation have not been made public. As with the first group of suspects, these individuals are currently in police custody while officers continue their inquiries.
