    Chris Brown Faces GBH Charge in England

    American R&B star Chris Brown has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent following an alleged assault at a London nightclub.

    According to the UK’s Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred in central London on February 19, 2023. The 36-year-old singer was arrested in the early hours of Thursday at a hotel in Manchester and is currently in custody.

    He is expected to appear before the Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

    Adele Kelly, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, confirmed the charge, stating: “We have authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Chris Brown with one count of grievous bodily harm, contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.”

    She added that the legal process is now active and emphasized that Brown has the right to a fair trial.
