The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 120 suspects for alleged internet fraud in Lagos.
According to a statement posted on the commission’s official website, operatives from the EFCC Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 carried out the arrests on Monday, May 19, 2025, following credible intelligence and surveillance.
Among those arrested are 95 men and 25 women suspected to be involved in various forms of cybercrime.
During the raid, EFCC operatives recovered 26 luxury cars, expensive jewellries, smartphones, laptops, and several incriminating documents.
The commission said all suspects are currently undergoing further investigation and will be charged to court once investigations are complete.
The EFCC reaffirmed its commitment to tackling cybercrime and urged the public to continue providing useful information to support its efforts.
