Saudi Club Eyes Osimhen, Ronaldo for Club World Cup

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has received a massive €120 million offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, who are eager to land him ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup kicking off next month.

According to French outlet FootMercato, Al-Hilal is keen to sign the Super Eagles forward and make him a central figure in their squad as they prepare for the global competition. The deal, which would run for over three years, signals Saudi Arabia’s continued aggressive push to attract top football talent to the Middle East.

Osimhen, 26, is coming off an incredible loan spell at Turkish club Galatasaray, where he scored 36 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions. His goals were crucial in helping Galatasaray win the Turkish Super Lig title this season.

However, Osimhen is not expected to return to Galatasaray or continue with parent club Napoli. Reports suggest that Napoli, now managed by Antonio Conte, are open to selling the striker as they prepare to rebuild their squad following their Serie A triumph last season.

While Al-Hilal is heavily pushing to land Osimhen, they are also eyeing another high-profile signing—Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star is reportedly considering leaving Al-Nassr, fueling speculation that he could switch to Al-Hilal in what would be another blockbuster transfer.

Aside from Al-Hilal, Osimhen is attracting serious interest from top European clubs. Juventus is reportedly keen to bring him back to Italy, especially as they prepare to sell Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Turin giants are also unlikely to keep PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan.

However, Juventus may struggle to meet Osimhen’s reported €75 million release clause due to financial limitations. Premier League sides like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all said to be monitoring his situation and could outbid the Italian club both in terms of transfer fee and wages.

With Osimhen entering the peak of his career, his next move will be a major decision. While Saudi Arabia’s financial power is attractive, the Nigerian star may still choose to stay in Europe to compete at the highest level.

For now, his future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear—Osimhen is one of the most sought-after strikers in world football this summer.
