    Super Eagles Beat Jamaica to Win Unity Cup in London

    The Super Eagles of Nigeria have claimed the 2025 Unity Cup after defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties in a thrilling final at the Brentford Community Stadium in London on Saturday.

    The match ended 2–2 in regular time, with Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze scoring for Nigeria in each half. Jamaica responded with two goals of their own, pushing the game to a penalty shootout.

    Nigeria showed composure under pressure, converting all five of their spot kicks to secure the win and lift the trophy. The penalty shootout ended 5–4 in favour of the Super Eagles.

    This year’s Unity Cup featured four teams—Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—and was aimed at promoting unity and pride among African and Caribbean communities living in the United Kingdom.

    The tournament marked a return after more than two decades, with the last edition held in 2004. Nigeria had previously won the Unity Cup in 2002 and 2004, and their latest victory in 2025 makes it three titles for the West African football giants.
