The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced that the screening test for candidates shortlisted for its 77 Regular Course will take place on Friday, June 14, 2025.
This was confirmed in a statement released in Kaduna on Thursday by the NDA spokesperson, Major Mohammad Maidawa.
According to the statement, the shortlist for the upcoming screening was strictly based on the official Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results sent by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to the Academy.
Maidawa advised all applicants who applied to the NDA to visit the Academy’s official portal and confirm their status. He noted that some candidates might face issues accessing their status due to network-related challenges and encouraged them to try again before assuming they were not shortlisted.
“Candidates are advised to check the portal to eliminate network issues as the reason for not being shortlisted,” Maidawa said.
He further urged applicants who still find their names missing after repeated checks to confirm the status of their UTME results directly with JAMB. “Those who were not shortlisted for the screening test are advised to verify the current status of their results from JAMB,” he added.
The NDA is Nigeria’s foremost military institution responsible for training officer cadets for commissioning into the Nigerian Armed Forces. The Academy offers both military and academic training, making admission into the institution highly competitive.
The 77 Regular Course screening test is a key stage in the NDA admission process. Candidates who pass the test will proceed to the next phase of selection, which includes physical and medical assessments, as well as interviews.
Applicants and their families have been advised to stay updated through the NDA website and avoid relying on unofficial sources for information about the screening process.
