Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Nigeria’s North East region have officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced on Sunday at a high-level APC Consultative Meeting held in Gombe, the capital of Gombe State.
The meeting was attended by top party figures including Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, and Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe. Also present were the APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Deputy National Chairman, Dr Ali Bukar Dalori.
Speaking at the event, Governor Zulum praised the Tinubu/Shettima administration for what he described as significant progress in key areas such as healthcare, education, revenue generation, and youth and women empowerment.
He said the North East APC was united in its belief that the current leadership deserves another term to complete its work under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The Tinubu/Shettima ticket represents stability, unity, and progress. In just two years, they have made visible improvements in governance and touched the lives of ordinary Nigerians,” Zulum said.
The forum called on Nigerians from all regions to rally behind the APC ticket in 2027, describing it as the best path toward sustained national development and unity.
This early endorsement adds momentum to President Tinubu’s expected re-election campaign and shows strong party backing in a region considered crucial to electoral success.
