“Let Israel Fight Its Own Battles” – Fani-Kayode Blasts Trump”

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has issued a strong warning to U.S. President Donald Trump, urging him not to escalate global tensions by getting involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Fani-Kayode’s remarks follow recent violent clashes between the two Middle Eastern powers, where Israel launched heavy airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities. In response, Iran fired ballistic missiles and drones at Israeli cities and military sites. The violence has sparked global concern over the risk of a full-blown regional war.

Reacting to Trump’s public support for Israel and tough stance on Iran, Fani-Kayode accused the former U.S. president of being reckless and blind to the dangers of war.

“You are a disaster,” he said in a statement. “You have betrayed your calling. True leaders do not support mass murder or oppression of the weak.”

He warned Trump against any move to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader or send U.S. troops into Iranian territory, saying such actions could trigger a wider conflict and bring about the collapse of America’s global influence.

“If you kill the Supreme Leader and invade Iran, it will mark the beginning of the end for America,” Fani-Kayode said.

He criticised Trump for allowing himself to be influenced by Israeli interests and Washington’s neoconservatives. He also accused the U.S. of turning a blind eye to what he called war crimes in Gaza.

Fani-Kayode has long spoken against Israel’s military actions in Palestine, especially in Gaza. He has condemned the bombing of civilian areas and accused Israel of carrying out ethnic cleansing under the pretext of self-defense.

According to him, many women and children have died due to what he describes as Israel’s “brutal occupation,” and he urged the international community to stop enabling these acts and demand accountability.

The latest conflict in the Middle East has deepened fears of a broader war, as diplomatic efforts have so far failed to bring about peace. While the U.S. continues to support Israel, voices like Fani-Kayode’s are calling for restraint and a shift away from military aggression.

He concluded by urging Trump to listen to more reasonable voices and avoid repeating the mistakes of past U.S. leaders in the region.

“For once,” he said, “let Israel fight her own battles.”
