    Gas Explosion Injures 3 in Abuja’s Life Camp

    Three people were injured on Wednesday after a gas tanker exploded at the AYM Shafa Gas Station in the Life Camp area of Abuja.

    According to police sources, the explosion occurred around 1:05 p.m. while the tanker was offloading gas. The vehicle suddenly caught fire and exploded, damaging the tanker and a nearby building.

    Police patrol teams arrived at the scene quickly after receiving a distress call. The area was cordoned off, and traffic was redirected to prevent further harm to residents.

    Firefighters from the Federal Fire Service and Julius Berger Company, alongside police and community members, worked together to put out the fire and stop it from spreading.

    “No life was lost, but three people suffered injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” a source said.
