    Suicide Bomber Kills 10, Injures 7 in Borno Fish Market Attack

    Tragedy struck in Borno State on Friday night as a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at a busy fish market in Konduga Local Government Area, killing 10 people and injuring seven others.

    Eyewitnesses and security sources said the attacker disguised as a civilian and mingled with the crowd before setting off the bomb.

    The explosion, which occurred on June 20, 2025, caused panic in the area. According to eyewitnesss report, the bomber and 10 civilians died instantly, while seven other people sustained various injuries.

    Troops of the Nigerian Army and emergency responders were quickly deployed to the scene. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.

    “The area has since been secured by the military to prevent further attacks,” the report added.
