The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has expressed concern over the low number of candidates who have printed their examination slips for the 2025 UTME mop-up scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
In a statement released on Friday, JAMB revealed that only 12,442 out of 98,232 eligible candidates have reprinted their exam notification slips, representing just 12.6% participation so far.
The mop-up exam is specifically for candidates who missed their initial UTME due to technical or other valid issues. The Board warned that failing to print the exam slip would mean forfeiting the chance to sit for the test.
“We strongly encourage all candidates, particularly those who missed the main examination, to print their notification slips promptly,” said JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
He stressed that the opportunity is rare and urged candidates not to take it for granted.
“The Board is actively monitoring the printing process to determine the number of candidates who will be present for the examination. Human and material resources have already been deployed nationwide to ensure smooth conduct,” he added.
Candidates have been advised to visit JAMB’s official website or designated printing centres immediately to print their slips before the exam date.
JAMB highlighted that no further makeup exam will be conducted for candidates who fail to take advantage of this final opportunity.
