Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, is set to undergo routine medicals at Napoli between July 14 and 15 ahead of the club’s preseason preparations, despite growing uncertainty over his future.
The 26-year-old is widely expected to leave the former Serie A champions this summer, but no deal has been finalized as he continues to weigh his options.
Osimhen has already turned down several big-money offers from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, as he prefers to remain in Europe. He is yet to agree terms with any club, leaving Napoli to include him in their preseason plans for now.
Last season, Osimhen enjoyed a highly successful loan spell at Turkish giants Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists. His performance helped the club win both the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
According to reports from Le Marca Sports, Napoli will call him up for preseason activities unless a move is completed before then. The coming weeks could be decisive for the striker’s next destination.
Osimhen joined Napoli in 2020 from French side Lille and has since become one of Africa’s most valuable football exports.
