Adeboye Says No Insults Will Shake Him

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has said he will not be provoked by insults or criticism.

Speaking during the July Holy Ghost service on Friday at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State, Adeboye revealed that he has faced many verbal attacks but remains calm and focused on his goals.

“Anger is temporary madness. You don’t want to be mad. Some people will do things to make you angry, but don’t fall into their trap,” he said. “One of the easiest ways to destroy your destiny is to get angry.”

Adeboye also said many people have been waiting for him to lose his temper but he is determined to remain peaceful and achieve his goals.

In the same sermon, the cleric shared a story about an African head of state who invited him for prayers to heal an illness that doctors could not cure. Adeboye said he declined the invitation, explaining that his schedule was fully booked.

“I told my pastor to inform the head of state that I was very busy and couldn’t come. Later, when the problem worsened, God healed him the very day he came to this campground,” Adeboye said.

The RCCG leader used the opportunity to remind members of the church about the power of patience, prayer, and avoiding anger, which he described as harmful to one’s future.
