The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has extended the deadline for its ongoing 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, the application portal will now remain open until Monday, 11th August 2025, instead of the earlier deadline of Monday, 4th August.
The extension is to give more Nigerians the opportunity to apply for positions in the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.
The official application portal remains [https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng), and the Board emphasized that the process is completely free and will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
This announcement comes shortly after the Board issued another advisory on 1st August, asking applicants who had submitted their details before the recent portal upgrade to verify their information at [https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng).
The Board explained that earlier application records can still be accessed, and once verification is complete, an application slip with the same Application ID will be generated.
It also clarified that any new submission after the upgrade will override previous entries and such earlier records will not appear on the update portal.
The recruitment, which began in July, is part of efforts to fill vacancies across Nigeria’s major paramilitary agencies.
