K1 De Ultimate Denies Misconduct During ValueJet Airport Incident

Veteran Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has denied reports that he behaved badly during an incident with ValueJet staff at the airport on August 5.

The music star’s media aide, Kunle Rasheed, said the reports were “exaggerated and misleading.” The issue reportedly began over a bottle of drinking water given to K1 at the airport lounge. When K1 tried to explain, airport staff allegedly escalated the situation unnecessarily.

The statement stressed that K1 did not break any safety rules or act in a way that endangered others. It said the musician respects all aviation protocols.

According to the aide, top ValueJet officials, including the Chairman and Managing Director, contacted K1 to apologise and even offered to fly him to Lagos on a private jet for free. K1 reportedly declined the offer.

The musician’s team said K1 remained calm during the incident and was the real victim, with some passengers asking for calm. They also criticised the pilot involved, who has had her license suspended, suggesting she might be shifting blame.
