The incident happened around 8:00 a.m. and disrupted movement for over 30 minutes. The train, which was travelling from Ogba Ayo in Ogun State to Apapa in Lagos, experienced a sudden separation of its rear compartment along the busy corridor.

An eyewitness said the detachment shocked both commuters and people nearby, but thankfully, no one was hurt.

“Everyone was shocked by what happened, but thankfully, no lives were lost,” the eyewitness said.

Ladipo is a well-known traffic hotspot in Lagos, and the sudden halt added to the usual congestion. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to remove the affected coach and ease the flow of traffic.
