Family Seeks Justice as Ex-Boyfriend Kills Young NYSC Graduate

A young interior designer and recent NYSC graduate, Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, was brutally murdered on Wednesday night in Lagos by her former boyfriend, months after their breakup.

The suspect, identified only as Lintex, hails from Otukpo in Benue State. According to eyewitness accounts and family sources, he gained access to Deborah’s estate by disguising himself as a dispatch rider. Security personnel at the gate reportedly became suspicious of his movements, but before they could act, he scaled the fence and broke into her apartment.

Residents say the attack was both calculated and terrifying. The suspect allegedly tried to sabotage the gas line outside Deborah’s apartment, apparently in an attempt to trigger an explosion. When that failed, he forced his way inside and stabbed her multiple times, leading to her death on the spot.

Deborah, who had just completed her mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, was beginning to establish herself in the field of interior decoration under the brand Deb’rah Porsche. Family members say she had ended the toxic relationship with Lintex over a year ago due to his controlling behavior and threats.

“She broke up with him over a year ago, but he never accepted it,” her sister said. “He would say things like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow.’ She was trying to focus on her career and ignored his calls, but he just wouldn’t let go.”
