President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that his recent meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron focused on strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and France, with both leaders agreeing to work more closely on economic development and global security.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, President Tinubu described the meeting as “productive,” noting that the conversation centered on mutual cooperation and shared goals.

“Had a productive lunch with President Emmanuel Macron,” Tinubu wrote.

“We reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen our partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.”

Although the statement did not give detailed outcomes, the President’s comments suggest that both countries are looking to expand their collaboration in key sectors such as trade, investment, security, energy, and education.
