Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has accused a presidential aide, O’tega Ogra, of failing to pay him for a job he completed.
Ogra currently serves as the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on digital engagement, strategy, and new media.
Dakolo made the allegation in a post on Sunday evening via his verified X (formerly Twitter) account. He directly tagged Ogra in the post, pleading with him to answer his calls and fulfill his part of their agreement.
“Mr @otegaogra please pick your calls. I did my job,” the singer wrote.
Although Dakolo did not reveal the nature of the job or the amount involved, the public accusation has drawn attention online, with many social media users weighing in.
The post suggests that efforts to resolve the matter privately may have failed, prompting Dakolo to go public.
As of the time of this report, O’tega Ogra has not issued any response or clarification on the matter.
Timi Dakolo, known for his soulful music and national performances at major government events, is one of Nigeria’s respected musicians. His involvement in official events often reflects his credibility in both entertainment and civic spaces.
The accusation raises questions about the professional conduct of public office holders, especially in dealings with creative professionals.
It is not uncommon for Nigerian artists and service providers to publicly complain about delayed or unpaid fees from government-related engagements.
The Presidency has yet to comment on the issue.
