    Kano Police Calm Students-Community Clash

    Kano State Police have restored calm following a clash between students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, and members of the host community on Friday night.

    The incident reportedly occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the college’s main gate, close to the More Event Centre. According to sources, five students—Buba Snu, Prince Snu, Kamal Snu, and two others currently at large were involved in the confrontation.

    The clash began during an event at the More Event Centre when a disagreement between students and residents escalated into chaos. The disturbance quickly spilled over to the college’s main entrance, causing panic among nearby residents.

    Sources revealed that community members pursued the students back into the college premises before police officers from Bichi Division arrived at the scene. The swift intervention by the police restored order and prevented the situation from worsening.

    Authorities confirmed that no lives were lost and no injuries were reported, though two vehicles belonging to the institution were damaged during the chaos.
