The Nigerian Army 82 Division Band delivered a spectacular performance at Christ the King Parish (CKP), GRA, Enugu, during the parish’s annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols held on Sunday, late December. The event was marked by music, prayers, and the official blessing of the parish’s newly completed baptistry.

The Christmas celebration opened with a solemn candlelight procession, led by the 82 Division Army Band, which marched from the church into the main arena. The procession, accompanied by the beautiful sounds of brass and percussion instruments, set a festive and reverent tone for the evening.

Following the procession, the Army Band joined the Christ the King Parish Choir to lead a carol service that blended traditional hymns with contemporary arrangements. The band later showcased a powerful solo musical performance, demonstrating both technical mastery and artistic expression, which left the audience enthralled.

“This year’s program was truly special,” said one parishioner. “The combination of the Army Band, our talented choir, and the lighting of candles created an atmosphere of warmth, joy, and celebration. It felt magical.”
