Indian authorities have arrested a 29-year-old Nigerian woman, identified as Olajide Esther Iyanuoluwa, over allegations of drug trafficking after banned substances were reportedly found concealed inside loaves of bread.
The arrest was carried out by operatives of India’s Central Crime Branch in New Delhi following intelligence reports and surveillance on suspected drug trafficking activities. According to officials, about 121 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine was discovered hidden inside bread loaves, a method allegedly used to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.
The suspect, who reportedly arrived in India last year, is said to have entered the country on a student visa. However, investigators revealed that she did not enroll in any recognized educational institution after her arrival, raising questions about the true purpose of her stay in the country.
