The successful applicants are expected to report to the Military Training Centre at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna, where they will begin intensive military training designed to prepare them for service in the Air Force.

The statement explained that all candidates must report with both the original copies and photocopies of their educational certificates and other relevant credentials required for documentation.

They are also expected to bring other items listed in the instructions published on the recruitment portal.

The Air Force advised all successful candidates to carefully read and comply with the reporting guidelines to avoid delays or complications during the documentation and admission process.

It said strict compliance with the instructions would ensure a smooth commencement of the training programme.

The Air Force also used the opportunity to remind Nigerians that its recruitment process remains transparent and does not require any payment at any stage.

According to the statement, the recruitment exercise is conducted strictly on merit and in line with established procedures.

It warned applicants and their families against dealing with individuals or groups claiming they could influence the recruitment process in exchange for money.

The Air Force urged successful candidates and members of the public to remain vigilant and report anyone demanding money or promising employment into the service through unofficial channels.

Over the years, security agencies have repeatedly warned that fraudsters often take advantage of recruitment exercises conducted by the military, police and other government agencies to deceive desperate job seekers.

Many unsuspecting applicants have lost large sums of money after being promised automatic employment or favourable consideration during recruitment.

The Nigerian Air Force has consistently maintained that recruitment into the service follows a transparent process involving online applications, screening, aptitude tests, medical examinations and selection interviews.

Officials have repeatedly advised applicants to rely only on information published through official NAF communication channels, including the recruitment portal and verified social media platforms.

The Basic Military Training Course is the first stage of military training for newly recruited Air Force personnel.

During the programme, recruits undergo physical fitness training, military drills, weapon handling, leadership development, discipline, field exercises and other courses designed to prepare them for military service.

They also receive instruction on military ethics, national security, teamwork and operational procedures before being deployed for further professional training in different branches of the Air Force.

The Nigerian Air Force plays a vital role in defending the country’s airspace and supporting internal security operations.

In recent years, the service has been actively involved in counter-terrorism operations, anti-banditry campaigns, anti-kidnapping missions and efforts to combat oil theft and other criminal activities across the country.

Working alongside the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy and other security agencies, the Air Force has carried out air surveillance, intelligence gathering and precision strikes against criminal hideouts in different parts of Nigeria.

The service has also expanded its training programmes and acquired new aircraft and equipment to improve operational effectiveness.

Recruitment into the Air Force is therefore considered highly competitive, attracting thousands of applicants from across the country every year.

Only candidates who successfully complete the various stages of the selection process are admitted into the Basic Military Training Course.

The release of the latest list marks the end of another recruitment cycle and the beginning of formal military training for the successful candidates.

The Air Force expressed confidence that the new recruits would contribute to strengthening the nation’s defence capabilities after completing their training.

It reiterated its commitment to maintaining fairness, transparency and professionalism throughout its recruitment process while urging applicants to remain alert to fraudulent recruitment schemes.

With training scheduled to begin on July 19 at the NAF Military Training Centre in Kaduna, successful candidates are expected to complete all necessary documentation and report on time in line with the instructions issued by the service.
