Raymond Nago Asema, a well-known youth leader and activist in Benue State, was reportedly abducted on Monday afternoon by unknown men dressed in police-like uniforms.
According to a statement by Emmanuel Slimchild Shishim, Chief of Staff to Asema, the youth leader was followed and forcefully taken shortly after arriving home around 2:30 pm.
The abductors did not reveal who they were or where they were taking Asema. As of now, no official statement has come from the Nigeria Police Force or any other security agency to confirm or deny the incident.
The news of his abduction has caused serious worry among Benue youths, who see Asema as a strong voice for their rights and interests.
Authorities have yet to provide any updates or explanations regarding the situation.
