The Independent Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has announced plans to reduce the pump price of petrol nationwide starting Monday, July 14, 2025.

This decision follows the recent move by Dangote Refinery to lower its ex-depot price from ₦840 to ₦820 per litre. Speaking on Friday, IPMAN National President, Abubakar Maigandi, confirmed that the association’s members would follow suit.

“Whether it’s Dangote Refinery or ex-depot petrol price, our members will also reduce. We will announce a fresh fuel price on Monday,” Maigandi said.

Currently, petrol prices in Abuja range between ₦905 and ₦945 per litre. Outlets like NIPCO, AA Rano, and Shema sell at around ₦910, while MRS, AP Ardova, and others affiliated with Dangote offer it at ₦905. Some stations like Ranoil and Empire Energy sell as high as ₦945.

The upcoming reduction is expected to bring some relief to consumers grappling with high transportation and living costs across the country.
