Gunmen Kidnap Four Family Members in Niger Community

Gunmen have abducted four members of a family in Tungan-Mangoro village, in the Nasko area of Niger State.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 14, around 7:00 p.m. when the attackers stormed the residence of a respected community elder, Alhaji Danlami, and whisked away four of his relatives at gunpoint.

Those kidnapped include Abbas Danlami, Jamila Dan’asibi (female), Samaila Dan’asibi, and a young girl identified as Naja.

Local sources said the attackers came in large numbers and operated for several minutes without resistance, throwing the community into panic.

Security personnel have since launched a search operation in the surrounding forests to track the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
