It reiterated that the entire recruitment process is free and that no applicant should pay any fee to secure employment.

“This recruitment is absolutely free. Interested applicants should beware of fraudsters,” the corps stated.

For further enquiries, members of the public were advised to contact the FRSC through its emergency number, 122.

Established in 1988, the Federal Road Safety Corps is Nigeria’s lead agency responsible for road traffic management and safety.

The organisation is charged with enforcing traffic regulations, educating motorists and other road users, responding to road crashes and promoting safer highways across the country.

The corps also conducts rescue operations during road accidents, removes obstructions from highways and works with other security and emergency agencies to improve road safety.

Over the years, the FRSC has expanded its operations to include emergency response, public enlightenment campaigns, traffic management, driver’s licence administration and vehicle registration support.

As road transportation remains the dominant means of movement for people and goods across Nigeria, the corps continues to play a vital role in reducing road crashes and improving compliance with traffic laws.

Recruitment exercises conducted by the agency often attract thousands of applications from young Nigerians seeking employment in the public sector.

However, authorities have repeatedly warned job seekers to avoid fraudsters who exploit recruitment exercises by demanding money with false promises of securing employment.

The FRSC’s latest warning is expected to help protect applicants from falling victim to such scams while ensuring that the recruitment process remains transparent and merit-based.

Interested Nigerians who meet the required qualifications are expected to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal from Friday, July 3, before the four-week application window closes.
