Janice Small Combs, mother of American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has come out strongly in defence of her son following his arrest on serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Diddy, known for his iconic hits like “I’ll Be Missing You,” was detained in New York last month and remains behind bars after being denied bail.
The charges against the legendary rapper and entrepreneur have sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, and his mother, in a rare public statement, expressed her devastation over what she described as a false narrative built on lies.

In a statement issued through her lawyer, Janice Small Combs described the accusations against her son as “heartbreaking” and called them a “narrative created out of lies.”
The 83-year-old matriarch, clearly distressed, said, “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.”
She admitted that while Diddy had made mistakes in the past, he was “not the monster they have painted him to be.”
These powerful words came as the scandal surrounding Diddy deepened, with reports suggesting that over 100 potential accusers might come forward to level additional allegations of sexual assault, rape, and exploitation against the music star.
