Allen Onyema, the Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, has thrown his support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praising the president’s hidden policy reforms.
Onyema described Tinubu’s administration as one focused on stabilizing the country’s business environment.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the president at the State House in Abuja on Thursday, December 12.
The Air Peace boss highlighted that the aviation sector is already feeling the impact of these reforms.
He specifically pointed to changes introduced by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
“The president is a businessman, and he’s trying to stabilize businesses with his policies,” Onyema said.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s initiatives will bring long-term benefits to the aviation industry and the entire nation.
Aviation Sector Gains from Keyamo’s Reforms
Onyema commended the leadership of Festus Keyamo, who has been steering the aviation ministry under Tinubu’s government.
He credited Keyamo’s policies for making it easier for businesses like Air Peace to navigate challenges in the aviation sector.
“The reforms being implemented in the aviation industry are exactly what we need,” Onyema said.
He urged other Nigerians to acknowledge the efforts of the government and lend their support.
Reforms Amid Economic Turbulence
The Air Peace CEO admitted that the economy is going through tough times.
However, he insisted that Tinubu’s reforms are designed to provide lasting solutions to Nigeria’s economic challenges.
He described these reforms as a form of “real restructuring” that will ultimately change how the country operates.
“Many Nigerians believe that restructuring is dividing the country along regional lines,” Onyema noted.
“But what Tinubu is doing is the real restructuring by changing the way we do things in the country for a better result in the long run.”
Call for Public Support
Onyema encouraged Nigerians to stand by the government during this transitional period.
He emphasized that the president’s policies aim to create a favorable environment for indigenous businesses to thrive.
“Some of us in business realize what the president is trying to do,” he said.
“We need to support his vision for a stronger and more stable Nigeria.”
Tinubu’s Business-Friendly Vision
Tinubu, known for his background as a successful businessman, has often spoken about his plans to make Nigeria more business-friendly.
Onyema’s endorsement of these policies adds to growing support from key figures in the private sector.
The Air Peace CEO’s remarks also shed light on how Tinubu’s administration is addressing challenges in critical industries like aviation.
Looking Ahead
Onyema expressed optimism that these reforms would bring positive changes to Nigeria’s economic landscape.
He said Tinubu’s approach to governance is different and focused on long-term results.
“The president is restructuring the country in ways that many don’t immediately see,” Onyema added.
