A one time aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Phrank Shaibu has slammed Unoma Akpabio, the wife of Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for defending her husband against sexual harassment allegation against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
It could be recalled that Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi Central in the Senate had accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.
She alleged that the Senate President had, on two occasions, made sexual advances at her, claiming that the seating arrangement was part of a ploy to frustrate legislative duties.
The Kogi lawmaker stated that her situation could be likened to a student failing an examination because she refused to sleep with her lecturer
However, reacting to the allegations at a press conference in her Abuja residence, Mrs Akpabio accused the Kogi Senator of creating content for personal gains, adding that the allegations against her husband are baseless.
‘He’s disciplined,’ Akpabio’s wife defends husband, dismisses Natasha’s harassment claim
She, thereafter, instituted a legal action against Akpoti-Uduaghan over her allegations and demanded N250 billion as damages.
Reacting to the development in an X post, Shaibu, berated Mrs Akpabio for saying that Natasha’s husband should have reached out to her because they are friends.
He wrote: “So, madam truly believes that High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the revered Alema of Warri Kingdom, should have personally reached out to her to lament that the ‘Uncommon Transformer’ harboured indecent intentions toward his wife?
“That he didn’t call to say your hubby wanted to sleep with his wife makes the account of @NatashaAkpoti false? If you have no valid argument, what happened to silence?
“By the way, Natasha isn’t the first woman to accuse your ‘transformer’ of this kinda thing!”
Phrank Shaibu, aide to the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has berated Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, over her comment regarding the sexual harassment allegations against her husband.
