The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced plans to provide free medical surgeries and services to Nigerians in celebration of the 83rd birthday of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. Born on March 2, 1942, in Ifewara, Osun State, Pastor Adeboye will mark this significant milestone on Sunday.

To honour the revered pastor, the RCCG is offering a wide range of free medical services through its health initiative, aiming to touch lives and give back to society. This initiative is part of the church’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which has become a hallmark of Pastor Adeboye’s leadership.

The free medical services will include surgeries in various specialities such as obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgeries, eye surgeries, dialysis sessions, reading glasses, and consultations. These services will be provided by the Redeemer’s Health Centre (RHC), the church’s health arm.

Pastor Adeboye, who has led RCCG for decades, has been a vocal advocate for giving back to society. His commitment to service and community welfare is reflected in the church’s numerous CSR initiatives that have impacted millions of lives across Nigeria and beyond. His son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, spoke on behalf of the church, explaining that this year’s free medical services are a continuation of Pastor Adeboye’s vision to provide support for those in need.

According to a statement from Pastor Leke Adeboye, “This initiative is part of Pastor Adeboye’s long-standing commitment to giving back to society. His efforts in impacting lives have touched over 166 million people and have seen the execution of more than 990,000 projects globally.”

The free medical surgeries and services will be available to those in need across Nigeria. Individuals can register for these services by contacting designated phone numbers or by visiting the Redeemer’s Health Centre premises.

The services offered will cover multiple medical areas, including eye surgeries for those suffering from sight impairments, as well as obstetrics and gynaecology for women in need of reproductive health care. General surgeries, which address a wide range of medical conditions, and dialysis sessions for patients with kidney issues, are also part of the package.

The church will also provide free consultations, with healthcare professionals offering advice and support for a variety of health concerns. Reading glasses will be distributed to those in need, making basic vision care accessible to the wider community.

The church believes that access to quality healthcare should not be a privilege but a right for all, especially the underprivileged. The programme underscores this belief, as it provides much-needed health services to individuals who might otherwise struggle to afford them.
