Kane Wins First Trophy as Bayern Take Bundesliga

England captain Harry Kane has claimed the first major trophy of his career after Bayern Munich were crowned Bundesliga champions for a record-extending 34th time on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Bayern secured the title after Bayer Leverkusen could only draw 2-2 at Freiburg. The result left Leverkusen eight points behind Bayern with just two games to go, handing the trophy back to the Bavarians, who lost it to Leverkusen last season.

Kane, who missed Bayern’s 3-3 draw at RB Leipzig on Saturday due to suspension, watched the Leverkusen match with teammates in Munich. He celebrated the moment on social media, writing: *”We are the Champions!”*

Leverkusen needed a win to keep the title race alive but went two goals down before staging a late comeback. Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah scored in the final minutes, but it wasn’t enough to stop Bayern from regaining the title.

Bayern will be officially presented with the Bundesliga shield at home next Saturday against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
