The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has alerted residents of Abuja and Lagos to ongoing aerial display rehearsals ahead of its 61st anniversary celebration scheduled for May 23.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the exercises are part of preparations for the anniversary’s grand finale.
He explained that the aerial manoeuvres are aimed at showcasing the professionalism and operational strength of the Air Force.
“Residents are kindly advised not to panic but to go about their normal activities, as the rehearsals are carefully planned and executed with strict adherence to safety standards,” Ejodame said.
The NAF also appreciated the public’s support and cooperation during the drills, which are intended to enhance the overall spectacle of the celebration.
