    According to reports, Kehinde was in a vehicle driven by his father, Odunayo Alade, along with his twin brother and other children, when they were pursued by officials from the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) and police officers. The pursuit was allegedly due to a traffic violation committed by Mr. Alade. During the chase, a police officer fired a shot that struck Kehinde, leading to his untimely death.

    Father’s Account

    Mr. Alade recounted the harrowing experience, stating that he was unaware that the officials were pursuing him for a traffic violation. He explained that he was taking his children to school and had stopped to inflate a tire when the incident began. Upon realizing the officials were attempting to stop him, he tried to evade them, fearing for his safety and that of his children. It was during this attempt to flee that the fatal shot was fired.

    The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed that an interim report on the incident has been prepared.
