Veteran journalist and social commentator, Kemi Olunloyo, has publicly criticized popular singer Portable for dressing like a woman, describing his crossdressing as “irritating” and unacceptable.

Olunloyo, who says she has no problem with homosexuals and transgender people, made it clear that her issue is specifically with crossdressers. She shared her views on social media, recalling a past disagreement with the Igala people of Kogi State over comedians dressing as women to entertain audiences.

“I’ve told Nigerians for 20 years that I have no issues with homosexuals and trans people as I lived in North America for three decades and interacted with many,” Olunloyo said. “However, I dislike CROSS DRESSERS.”

She stressed that dressing like a woman is not necessary for comedy or entertainment and urged parents to discuss the matter with their children.

“Talk to your children about crossdressing. It is NOT acceptable!” she warned, adding that figures like Bobrisky and James Brown influenced young Africans negatively.
