Concern is growing among fans and followers of controversial social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), following his sudden disappearance from the online space.
His brother, Mark Vincent Otse, on Sunday posted a video on Instagram, urging Nigerians to pray for VDM, who has not made any social media post for two days—an unusual silence from the outspoken activist.
Mark, who appeared emotional in the short clip, did not give any clear details but hinted that something serious might be going on.
“Good morning, everybody, I’m not here to say much. All I want you all to do is to pray for VeryDarkMan because it is not easy. He has not posted for two days now,” he said.
“I know you all are waiting and asking questions like ‘where is VDM?’ The truth is I don’t know how to say this right now. This is so difficult for real. Wherever you are, as you go to church or your various places of prayer, remember to put VDM in your prayers.”
VeryDarkMan is known for his bold social commentary, often taking on public figures and institutions over issues ranging from corruption to injustice. His absence has sparked speculation among fans, with many expressing worry online.
While no official statement has been released regarding his condition or whereabouts, his brother’s message has only deepened public concern.
As of the time of this report, there has been no update from VDM or his representatives.
